Got a party partner-in-crime? Introducing Co-Hosts
You asked, and we listened. Evite is excited to now offer one of our most popular user requests – the ability to add a co-host to your invitation, so you never have to throw a party alone.
This is big. A co-host can do almost everything the original host can do: invite more guests, send messages to guests, and manage the invitation. (The only thing he or she can’t do is remove the original host and take over the event… because awkward.)
This way, your co-host can add friends of his or her own, meaning your guests will have plenty opportunity to meet someone new at the event. Co-hosting is perfect for bridal showers and baby showers, where the guest of honor (the bride or parent-to-be) isn’t formally hosting the event but commonly creates the guest list, as well as joint birthdays, happy hours, office parties, and more.
Here’s how it works…
When creating an invitation, click the “Add a Co-Host” link located to the right of the “Hosted By” field. Be sure to enter the host names in the “Hosted By” field exactly as you want it to appear to guests. Your co-host must have an Evite account – but registering is easy, we promise.

From there, enter the name and e-mail address of your co-host of choice! (You can only have one co-host per event.) After you have completed and sent out your invitation, your co-host will receive an email letting them know they’ve been added to your invitation as a co-host.
