Winter ONEderland posted by Carla on 11/27/07

My niece Bella turns 1 on December 15th and we are transforming the backyard into her very own Winter ONEderland. Everyone is sparing their outside Christmas decorations so we can really light up the place and create a magical Holiday scene. And while I'm sure she won't remember a thing it's the thought that counts...right! Each station has both a name and theme. Bella's Workshop: Kids will be able to make their own ornaments out of red, white and green pipe cleaners. No mess and very inexpensive! Bella's Gift Shop: Kids are given fake $$(which I made on my computer with my nieces face pictured on it) to buy a gift for someone special. **Target was having 50% off their dollar spot section. I was able to buy 40 gifts for $20!** Bella's Toy Shop: Here the kids can decorate paper bags with holiday stickers and markers which they will use to put the gifts they buy for their special someone in. Reindeer Stables: Pin the nose on Rudolph will take place at this station. I was able to find a blinking nose which makes the game so much more festive. Making a List: Kids will be able to write their letters to Santa at this station. (There are not that many kids coming to the party so I am going to get their return addresses and mail them a response letter from Santa) North Pole: Kids will be able to put their letters to Santa in a specially decorated mailbox (which I found at a thrift store, with some new paint and cute holiday stickers it was like new again)Thanks to a brave uncle the kids will also be able to take pictures with Santa here. I am going to try my best and print them up while they are still at the party however, if i can't get to it, they will go out with their response letters from Santa. For food we are going to have chili. There will also be hot coco, Bailey's for the adults, and smores. To top it all off I was able to find a really good deal on a snow flurry machine which will really help set the mood.
