New dog "Doggie Shower" or "Birthday posted by Nora on 8/13/07
Knowing I couldn't bear any children due to infertility,my husband and I decided to adopt a dog. My Family were so thrilled and supported they threw me a "doggie shower". Invites in dog theme were sent as well as places that suggested gift ideas ( target,petco,pet smart,and local dog groomers and dog boutiques). The guests had to bring their pets dressed in an outfit to be judged for the best dressed dog. Hot dogs were served and music ( all dog themed--- "who let the dogs out"," Puppy Love", "BINGO","Do the dog catcher" ect.).We played games like dog facts true or false which were looked up on the internet and made-up. We played doggie scramble ( words scrambled in a dog theme). people were served in a dog dish that they were able to take home and dog related gifts & treat bags were given to the pets.The children were the judges for the doggie parade.lots of pictures were taken and a paw shaped and bone shaped cake were served to the guests and dogs were given doggie cupcakes purchased at a near by dog bakery.Everyone had a great time!It was the best pet party ever!
