I just recently had a house warming. The theme was wine tasting and recipes. I hired a wine connoisseur from a wine shop to come and educate the guest on inexpensive wines and pairing the wines with various foods.
I had my sister, dad, bestfriend mom cater my favorite food items that would go well with the wine. Beside each food item I created recipe cards so people could take the cards with them and try these recipes at home. As the host I made Spicy hot wings and as favors I went on the knot and personalized hot sauce and attached a recipe card with my famous hot wings recipe.
As a single girl, what a great way to create your own cookbook with old favorite recipes. I did purchase a book and pasted the recipes and encouraged people to write in their recipes in the book that I could try.
Everyone loved the housewarming and it made for great conversation.
