For your next Christmas Party or Holiday Gathering, request that each family bring an ornament that best represents them, then goes into a grab bag. Be sure to tell your guests to include their 'Family Name' and the 'Year' on their ornament. These can be placed in a holiday decorated basket by the front door upon arrival so each family can take one on their way out or have a Blind Drawing after dessert. Next year and years to come when the tree trimming is in full force you'll remember the event AND that special Family.
